I want to leave a message of gratitude and hope to the combatants, employees, suppliers, contractors and all those who keep working.
We are really in a war with two fronts of battle, the Biological and the Economic!
EuroAlicerce is now a team of about 90 people, if we add our families, we will be touching about 300 people. And this is where I start, because that's what really matters to me, what's always mattered to me, people, the value of every single one of them in my life, in our lives. Our value as a team, as a group, as people.
When all is well, it is easy to be manager of anything..., however, it is at times like what we are going through that you need to be a Leader. We need to get answers, solutions, decisions that can sometimes compromise the health and well-being of families...!
I want you to know that I am fully aware of what is happening in the world, I am fully aware of my decisions in the face of this situation, the risks involved, the risks we take, because we are all exposed, we are all in this war...
All my decisions are made thinking about protecting you. We have taken some steps so that we can continue to help our families, our country's economy and honour the commitments we have made to our customers, suppliers and all those who depend on us.
All decisions have been made according to our entire management, have been considered and reflect the words of our President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa:
"All sooner than later. We depend on containment, saving deadlines, saving lives. Do not stop production,do not panic deliveries. Keep the economy alive. I ask you to fight discouragement, tiredness, the fatigue of time that does not come to an end. Resistance, Solidarity and Courage: these are the watchwords."
I agree that our President and Prime Minister value and thank health professionals, for the struggle you are having, and very well, but I think that all of us who work deserve a word of appreciation, of comfort, for the courage to leave our homes to work at the risk of contracting and infecting our families who are at home, knowing that at any moment it can come our turn, but we let the courage and instinct that nothing lacks our loudest talk.
